The 1966 Stool by Richard Schultz for Knoll belongs to one of the most celebrated outdoor collections of the twentieth century, conceived in 1966 and engineered to weather the elements without losing its refined, architectural lines. It brings the same considered detailing as the wider 1966 Collection to a compact, versatile stool for terraces, courtyards and indoor-outdoor settings.
Designed for genuine outdoor use, the collection is built from powder-coated cast and extruded aluminium with weather-resistant materials throughout, so it remains composed in sun, rain and coastal air. Its clean geometry and quiet presence make the 1966 Stool an easy companion to the collection’s chairs and tables, or a standalone perch in a considered exterior scheme.
An enduring piece of American design, the 1966 Stool suits hospitality terraces, rooftop lounges and premium outdoor workspaces where furniture must look as good as it lasts.
