Craft, Carved Into Form

Product Details

Description

The Chisel 85 lounge chair by HAY, designed by Andreas Bergsaker, is a solid-wood lounge chair characterised by its bevelled legs and distinctive silhouette, evoking the carpentry tool from which it takes its name. The result is a warm, craft-led piece that brings a sculptural, tactile quality to lounges, reception areas and considered interiors.

Built around a solid wood and veneer construction, the Chisel is offered in a range of lacquered beech and oak veneer finishes — and in a front-upholstered version that adds a padded seat and back for extra comfort. Its clean, recognisable form makes it equally at home as a standalone statement or in grouped seating.

With its honest materials and distinctive bevelled detailing, the Chisel 85 lounge chair offers a contemporary take on craft for both private and public settings.
