Description

The Kalea by Kastel is a versatile seating programme built around an injection-moulded polypropylene monocoque shell. Upholstered versions place padding of non-deformable expanded polyurethane over a polypropylene inner shell, with polypropylene clips securing the shell to the frame.

The range spans a wide choice of frames: fixed or swivel steel structures with articulated, adjustable nylon or steel feet or swivel castors, five-star polypropylene or aluminium bases on castors, and a fixed four-leg frame in painted maple with felt glides over a steel supporting structure. A version with an anti-panic nylon writing tablet is available, making Kalea equally suited to meeting rooms, training spaces and collaborative areas.

Kalea is certified to EN 16139 and EN 1728, and is offered in a broad palette of single- and two-colour shells alongside an extensive selection of fabrics and eco-leathers.
